Hello everyone

I will be attempting to 'restore' my instrument cluster here shortly, and am having a hard time finding the decals/stickers for the gauges. Who makes them? I have seen several references for the 66 and below dashes, but no 67-72. I checked all the big name suppliers and no luck.

I plan to replace the bezel and lens
Will be reusing the existing printed circuit if possible

Yep I just sent him my full dash with Tach,speed warning to have all of them redone. I know he has the decals but don't know if he just sells them though.

If U want white guages then that E Bay add is the right ones. Tom is doing mine back to stock correct decals.

The same guy that does the white faced gauges does this:

It is a customizable Lens that uses black lettering, not the traditional green. If you decide to do you own cluster and use white, you will need to respray the inner background white to make it look right. Look at the Ebay add mentioned by "lannyhaas" and see his pictures, you will see one that has a black background with the original green lettered lens and one that has an all white look. You be the judge.

Do you think these will look ok without replacing the decals? Will painting the needles be good enough to look 'nice' along with a new lens and bezel? I realize that is a subjective question, i'm Not going full resto, just a cool cruiser.

Sorry for the sideways pictures, not sure why its doing that...

I think it will look just right with just the needles painted and new lens. I don't see any reason for decals at all. May want to clean the gauges real good when U take it a part.

Be careful cleaning the markings on the gauge faces. If I recall correctly, the markings on the fuel gauge and speedo tend to wipe off, but the small gauges are more "robust". Perhaps someone else can verify this.

Thank you. Can anyone else chime in on this subject too?

What are you guys using to clean them with? Windex or similar cleaner? Or just wipe down with a clean microfiber?

I didn't use any cleaner. Just exhale on it as it you were cleaning glasses (if necessary) and wipe with a microfiber cloth avoiding the markings as much as possible. I used a Q-Tip around the markings. Here's a link to a thread regarding paint for the needles and painting technique. For more threads Google the forum for "needle paint".
