55-59 replacement doors??

Just curious if anyone has replaced their factory doors with any aftermsrket doors? If so how did they fit, how was the quality, etc. ,etc.?

Any info would be appreciated.

Re: 55-59 replacement doors??

We have used a few different sets in our shop. The doors are decent and top parts of the doors had some low spots in them. This is where we added some material to bring the top part of the door closer the bottom of the drip rail.

Still money ahead when you have doors that have to much rust or damage in them.

Re: 55-59 replacement doors??

Thanks for the info, do you happen to remember what brand you used?

If thats the only issue I run into thats no big deal to me. I am mainly concerned that it will fit the jamb without major surgery.

Re: 55-59 replacement doors??

I bought a set from Classic Parts of America.

First pair was Tri-Plus brand, had to send the drivers side back to due shipping damage.

The replacement was Dynacorn.

The Dynacorn felt heavier/better built, but the Tri-plus seems to fit the opening a little better. They are both going to need some work, but my originals would have cost more to fix.
