Shipping costs are coming down, Maybe now we can get a truck shipped reasonable

Didn’t know where to post this, move if needed.

I found the comments to be very informative…

Captured from the link….
“I am a planning coordinator for a trucking company. The rate per mile was around $3/mi on average in 2020. Now depending on your location... Dallas area is paying around $1.70/mi. Rates on shipping are dropping for 18-wheeler shipments.”

Too many fools that don't understand that moving freight that costs them money will bankrupt them.

I hear folks comment "It'll pay for my fuel." If you're running for the fuel cost alone you're paying the shipper to move their freight. That's a great deal for the shipper and broker but it won't make the truck payment, wear on your equipment, maintenance, insurance, taxes & fees, or let you eat.
