C notch info
Converting 72 K5 4X4 to 2 wd. Looking for c-notch for K5 4x4 frame, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for the same thing. I have a 4wd frame so it is pretty straight in the rear. Looks like all the c-notches are for the 2wd frames that get wider in the rear. I thought of flipping over the 4wd rear bump stop mounts and using them for a notch.

Yeah. They get wider so the trailing arms can use the coil springs so trailer hitches are different widths etc. I just kept the leaf springs from the 4wd. So all the notches I've seen follow that curve where the frame widens. Check out the thread-"Family Truckster". Not sure how to post the link. I really like his notch and it started as a 4wd. The 4x4 frame rails are straight.

use a 73 up notch or make your own from 3/16 or 1/4 plate. that what i did on the 84 i had before notches were available.

I used 6" diameter 1/4" wall pipe to make mine for my 4x4 to 2wd conversion.
