Longer Axle U-Bolts

Can someone help with some info on new u-bolts for a 1/2 tom '69 C-10? I have 2" drop blocks so they need to be longer than stock.

Does anyone have a part number or source for these? What about dimensions? I see Summit has alot to choose from. I know they are 5/8" in diameter, but what width do i need for a 3" axle tube? Overall length?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Longer Axle U-Bolts

Here are the dimensions of the U bolts I had made at one of the local shops for $32. The bolt should be 3/4" diamante (that is what the bolt I took out read with my calipers and they fit in the holes perfect), the U should be 3 1/2" across because it goes across the 3" axle at an angle and if you get them at least 10" they will be long enough you can just trim a little off.

3/4 x 3 1/2 x 10"

hope this helps

Re: Longer Axle U-Bolts

Thanks Eric. I just learned that a driveshaft place in Marietta makes them as well. Driveshaft Services.

Re: Longer Axle U-Bolts

Or you could get a lift/lower block package from A-Zone for $20 or so with 4 long u-bolts and cut off the extra length after install. Any of the aftermarket groups will also have them, like Early Classic, CPP, GMC Paul's, ect.
