Headliner

54 ,55 1st series. How many metal strips hlod up the stock cardboard headliner? How does the headliner attach above the windshield? Am I missing some parts !!!

there are two strips, one in the middle and one at the back. Here is a picture before installed the Rod Doors headliner.

So what holds the front, the windshield rubber !! I do not have the glass installed yet, I guess I am out of sequence, put the headliner in last !!!!!!

Why did you install a rod doors headliner, that one looks GREAT!!
Are they like a buck and a quarter, how can you improve on the one in the picture!!!

.........O K, O K, that one looks much nicer !!
Are those his door panels also, is the headliner held in place with the door and windshield rubber or does he use those loop and hook fasteners, do they work !!

It is held with the rear metal strip and the rubber. I guess you could also use the duo lock tape. The duo lock tape is suspect! it doesn't stick very well, I used it but am exploring alternatives.

I will also say the Rod Door panels, kickpanels and headliner were VERY easy to cover and install, I did it all myself and have never even attempted upholstery before. Great stuff!

And I don't work for them either
