1966 Chevy k10 Suburban w/292 - exhaust review

I recently replaced the rusted, failing, incomplete exhaust that was on the vehicle when purchased with a single exhaust, pre-bent, slip-fit system I found on eBay. The system is designed for 65-66 K10 Longbed trucks with 292, closely mimics the original style. Turns out this application works quite well for Suburbans too. Being for a longbed truck provides plenty of pre-bent tubing, so sharing this info for the 65-66 K10 292 Suburban owners out there.

I was able to keep the exhaust tucked up high and out of the way of things (maintain ground clearance). The entire system (including muffler) is about an inch above the lowest point on the transfer case. I was able to run it all the way over rear axle to the back bumper. The vendor even provided a few extra scraps as well as a turn down tip.

System used:
65-66 Chevy K10 with 292 6cyl, 127in WB (longbed trucks) single exhaust system

Parts used:
Stainless saddle, butt and lap joint clamps
Grade 8 and/or stainless hardware
Universal clamp-on steel/rubber exhaust hangers (long style, modified as needed)
Universal steel hanger brackets (long style, modified as needed)
Permatex muffler sealer (just a little) for extra sealing on slip joints
New original style manifold gasket and bracket
