Unhappy belt or pully noise

I hate to be a pain, but I need too. I just posted about alternator noise, the noise is not from the alt. The only thing that stopped the noise was liquid soap on the belts and that only lasted untill I reved the motor. I've tried every thing that was recomended any help would be appreciated.

Re: belt or pully noise

Do you have the right belt?
There are different sizes and how deep in the pulley they sit. If they don't sit in the pulley right they can make noise.
Do you have a pic of yours in the pullies?

Re: belt or pully noise

What kind of pulleys? Any glazing in groves? Wobble? Tight enough? I removed the glazing on belt and pulleys with sand paper. I applied some baby powder on belt and no more screeching noise!
