Getting closer, was able to get the bottom and diagonal braces welded in. Also added the four bottom diagonal supports for the legs. Drilled the holes for the supports and started getting it ready for some paint. Second pictures shows the dimensions I used for the cart so that the cab will properly. I drilled the holes larger than needed to adjust for some wiggle room.

Finally got it done and testing today with the K10 cab. Next I will need to test the tilt function. Really like the working heighth of the cab now and works well for my lower back issues.

I know this thread is a bit old, but how did it all turn out? Tip function work okay? I'm in the planning stages on building mine and like a few different ideas from each one I've seen.

It has been working great. the tip function of the cart has really worked out good. I am now getting geared up for phase two of the build on the cart. I am building additional implements to mount doors, fenders etc for body work and painting.

So I am going to go with the original tip & flip design and ordered my metal today. His plans show the wheels getting welded directly to the main frame. There's no reason why I can't weld a mounting plate to that frame so I can bolt and unbolt a wheel in case of failure is there?

I ended up using the casters he spec’ed, and I can’t remember if the bolt holes were wide enough to clear the width of the tubing they were welded to. Sorry, I can’t check mine because I sold it, but it would be something to verify before you bought/cut the flat metal for this. At worst you could tack the casters and grind them off in case of failure.

You could weld plates to the tube so you can bolt the caster wheels to yhe cart if tubing narrower then caster plate

I have the metal cut for mine, need to start the welding process. why did you use rubber wheel casters? I would be hesitant because of the welding sparks blowing the tires. No problems?

I used pneumatic tires because I can wheel it to my side yard where there is gravel. If it was only staying in the garage on concrete I would gave used hard rubber. Welding sparks are not an issue, did all rust repair and grinding and it was not an issue.

Landarts, so do those mounting plates that the cab mounts to, are those removable, as it looks like they insert into the top of the dolly. If so, then making this into a dolly cart easy for the bed.

I’d like to roll the bed sideways to work on it.

Yes they a removable. I have made a few other arms to go on it to hold doors, bedsides, fenders etc., next time I have it in that configuration I will post some pictures.

It would not be hard to make one if you have the tools and equipment.
