Turbo LS 72 suburban

Finally snagged a ride that I've been wanting for years. 72 c20 suburban, full air ride, orignally it was a school bus or school district vehicle according to the PO. I had the intention of throwing in a 12 valve, p pumped, and a small set of compounds for towing. But after two months of searching and getting the run around on multiple motors and complete trucks I just decided to throw in a L33 (gen 4 5.3) with a couple of small 62/62 twins and an 80e. Boost will be low, I'm not looking to have the capability of a diesel just a little extra torque to help when pulling my 71 c10. I have a lot of the parts sitting here so it's not a big investment if I come across a good donor truck for a 12 or 24 valve.

I'm going to order up some sound deadener, and attempt to find some carpet to finish out the interior. Maybe some black and white houndstooth seat covers. This will be my daily during the nice months. Ive searched a little bit for a solid steelie style wheel, 8x6.5 8-10" wide and haven't had much luck. The current wheels are weld 20s and extremely ugly.

I'll try to post updates as a I go. It'll be slow for the next week til parts start showing up.

Great ride! Skip the rest of the companies and go for detroit steel for the wheels. By far the best out there

Sold the burb 2 weeks ago. 5.3 and 80e dropped in, hotside built. New owner is going to finish it out. I came upon a great deal for a 70 k20 and couldn't pass it up.

Good deal. You will still be on the board...... Is the new Burb owner going to join the board?
