Nice looking frame.

The only thing I don't like is the inboard mounted 4-link and shocks. For handling, the wider the better. I know that's not 1st priority but it also gives more room for exhaust and driveshaft with those mounted outside the frame.

that is about the only option if you want wide wheels and want to get the exhaust out the back

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)

Ok so there has been quite a bit going on lately in our world. We have been wanting to buy a bigger trailer for shows so we could carry our truck and our product to sell at shows. I have been driving my 99 chevy dually 454, 5spd for 6 years now and it has been a great truck but just doesnt have the pulling powe r of a Diesel so i sold it and purchased a Diesel that pretty much just fell into my lap over a conversation that my wife was having with a friend of ours at Lonsestar Throwdown.. So here is a picture of the one i let go of that i love and then the picture of the 99 Dodge replacement that i am trying to make myself live with because it has a great powertrain! LOL, i would love to have a nice Duramax but this is the only thing that is in my current price range

Here is our new trailer it is a 40 all aluminum trailer with a toilet/shower and a little bedroom. YES the F.... stickers and Cobras will be coming off ASAP!! LOL, i will probably even have to take out some of the inside goodies to make more room for products to take to shows.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)

I spent a few hours last weekend de-badging the Dodge, i think it helped clean it up a little.

Enough about Dodges cluttering up my feed, my next posts will be of the shop and some new to me equipment that should help move us forward.....once i figure out how to use it!

We picked up a new piece of equipment that will hopefully help take us to the next level.....once i figure out how to use it! LOL

She was a beast to get unloaded by myself but i got it and got her inside which inspired a complete cleaning/re organizing of the shop.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)

good reason to get a enginehoist or a overhead crane inside the shop to be able to move those big pieces around and get them off the trailer in the first place
seen the machine being used on old episodes of american hot rod , they did made tools for it themselves but could do a lot of stuff from beadrolling realy wide beads till making louvers

Good choice on the GSIM chassis. I'll be picking up their backhalf for my truck soon.

I really liked the overall look at quality of work that those guys do for the chassis. Great choice!

That Pullmax will be a game changer for you!

That frame is so nice! That pullmax is nice too! Now you have a good donor engine so the next sema build should be a crew cab dually.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)

How about a few updates on Cloud 9.5. I have been working on running all the 3 inch Flowmaster stainless exhaust, using Deeds Eng billet exhaust hangers, we also got the Currie 9 inch in with 35 spline axles, Wave Trac locker, 3:50 gears (since we are going 5 speed this time) I test fit the cab on that beautiful GSI Chassis this weekend! I also stripped all the wiring out of the cab to do it over and do it right this time....I did it myself last time and this time I am getting help, we will be using the new Painless Pro-Series wiring and my friend Brock will be in charge!
