Fixerup

Hey all. I'm relatively new to the board and wanted to share my truck and some of my plans with you.

I will be looking for guidance (as I already have) and tips and opinions. I purchased this truck from my uncle. It's a 72 with a 350/350. I am planning an engine and trans swap in the future.

Plus when I get ready to do the body, I want to go with a dark green color.

Here are some pics of what I've got.

I will post more pics as I get them.

Re: Fixerup

I also want to do a 2/3 drop with 17" or 18" wheels. But I don't want to have the rubbeband type tires. After all it is a truck, and I will use it as such.

Am considering the Year One 350 crate engine for the swap. Has enyone done this? They are advertising 400+hp and 400+torque. I like the numbers and for the 3K they are asking, sounds like a good engine. Would like to hear from anyone who has used this engine.

Thanks
Joe

Re: Fixerup

Should be a good engine, but for 3k you should be able to build one with the same or higher numbers. And if you build one you can ensure proper installation of all parts.

Re: Fixerup

Got this in yesterday from BTO and hope to get it in this weekend. Just waiting on cooler lines to come in (they were backordered). Then I will get a measurement and order a new driveshaft!!

Re: Fixerup

Wow, your making quick progress. The truck will look great in no time. You'll find the board to be your second home and you can ask for any help you need here. The people here are great.
