Took it to a shop here in town.

Total.
Not to bad for piece of mind.

I did the same thing...I actually caved and took it to an old school hot rod shop here in town.

$175 bucks and they knocked it out while I waited and BS'd with the owner of the shop (he and his employees loved my truck!).

He brought the old seal in to show me....he wanted to show me how heavy and overbuilt that the old, obviously original 1962 seal was.

They replaced it with a National seal which was a fraction of the weight of the original.

I told him to keep the old one for a paperweight, which he did, lol.

Anyway...glad to be able to put my drip pan away in my shop now.
