Re: what type of headers

when I had my 66 with small block and a 4 speed, I ran shorty, block hugger headers. that gave me plenty of room to route everything. Similar to these:

Re: what type of headers

Your best bet is using headers made to fit these trucks with a small block. Hedman #69260 are the correct ones for the '63-'66 trucks and they fit around the mechanical clutch linkage. You can also use Hedman #69090. They are designed for later model trucks, but they still fit with the '63-'66 mechanical clutch linkage. However a little trimming may be necessary as it is a bit tight with a couple of the tubes. At one time you could use Hooker #2453's, but they have since changed the tube layout, so I don't know for sure if they will still work

Does anyone have a say about the exhaust manifolds from Allstar Performance? How do they fit/perform?
