Chevy 4.3 throttle stays on in gear change - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My '90 Fleetside does this annoying thing, that when I get going and change up to a higher gear I push down the clutch but the throttle stays on couple of seconds and then drops down to idle. I took out the IAC, cleaned it and pushed down the head before re-installing it. I've tried to adjust the TPS and turned it a bit counter clockwise but nothing. Should I buy new IAC and TPS?

I would replace the IAC first.
