They are plug and play. There is a 50 % chance they will be wired backwards but I include connectors to swap the two wires if needed or I will split shipping and you can send them back for me to swap if you like. For some reason gm did not make the polarity the same on all trucks. Probably because bulbs don't care. Any how it's a very simple fix if need be. Other than that at most you could need led flashers but most say they work fine without them. The reverse lights have no known issues. I can say this, I include a led troubleshooting sheet with every set. It will inform you of any issues that may cause problems but as of now I have had no issues except the two wires needing to be swapped on about 5 of the 12 sets that are out there. I wire them all the same so it's just hit or miss weather you will need them swapped or not.

I have some regular amber leds I could build them with. I just need a lense to make a pattern from.

First c10---- same situation I can build it but no one has been serious enough to send me the assembly to build one. I don't run one so I don't want to spend 50+$ on something I don't need. The las guy shipped his burb lenses to me with a return label and I shipped them back the following week. I'm glad you like the lights.. thanks for the feedback!

Does the running light portion of the tail stay on while the blinker is active? Or does it go dark?

Running lights say on and blink and tail get brighter. A lot brighter . I guess in the video I should display them like that. There is a lot of difference between dim and bright, no problems seeing them blink. I don't know of any that get dark that would require an expensive controller.

Can you post a close up photo of the lights on with just the tail lights on, please. I'm curious how the LEDs look through the OEM prismatic lens.

This is the only close up shot I have. You can see each one on running lights but with brakes it turns into one blinding rectangle lol. The only thing I have seen comparable to these are some of the new Cadillac's. These LEDs are high quality sign LEDs and each tail is @ 5400 lumens @10Xs brighter than your 1157 at full power 😀
