Sure someone didn't just buy a new label, type it up and antique it?

One of the reasons for a "Special Paint" RPO is a fleet vehicle purchase.

I would say that is NOT factory paint ... although it might be a factory color. The reason I say that is because the radiator support was not painted body color from the factory.

BTW: What's the story with those headlight covers?

Its from a 73-87 truck style, I cut it in half at the middle and fiberglassed it back together with the correct angle.

What's the "SP0025" code? You should post the whole thing so we can see what other intesting things are on the sticker ... Model, WB, VIN style etc etc.

I`ve seen that color on GMCs before.I could be wrong, but I believe GMC may have allowed special orders to use other GM car colors. It looks real close to a color I`ve seen on a`69 Buick Skylark GS own by a friend. If that code can`t be matched to any other "common"color, then you`ll be sure it`s special.

You painted it under the hood to match....soooooooo, is that the ORIGINAL paint on the outside????? If it is, damn, she was well taken car of! I bought my truck almost 10 years ago, original paint, and it was chipping, peeling off EVERYWHERE!!!

See the SE box? FT=Fleet truck

The SP is the Special Production sequence #. There are at least 24 other trucks similar or exact.

The RPO sticker looks typed because it probably was. I doubt the software used to generate the normal production RPO stickers was advanced enough to adapt to non-standard runs.**

**The above is purely speculation with no basis in fact. It is entirely plausible however.

Thanks for the posting of the sticker...
Thanks for the explanation of the SP0025 that has no description..

FTO757310 : FTO stands for "Factory Truck Order" and 757310 is the order number

kelsfine69, seeing that it was made in Canada, does the fender emblems say "910" or like the later style of "GMC 1500 Series" ?

Is the truck still located in Canada or has it been transplanted? Nice looking truck you got there though, and I like the air dam under the front bumper, I need to do something like that with mine to hide the frame.

Years ago I had a special paint Slime Green truck...it is neat to have something different than the normal range of factory colors. As for mirrors, I would use 71-72 sport mirrors..they look the best imo.
