Seatbelts
1995 K20 cab & a half
The previous owner cut the front seat center lap belt out. I found a similar seat belt out of a newer S10. The metal portion of the 1995 seatbelt hole is a square. The metal portion of the S10 seat belt is square outline with a piece of metal still in the middle of the square The seat belts click and seem to work, I want to be sure these will work prior to installing. Any comments . |

Does it latch
Does the 2 halves seat, click and hold when you pull hard on them?
Does it release when you push the button? |

Re: Seatbelts
Yes
They seem to operate correctly, the metal male piece just has a different shaped hole cut in it to lock in the female portion |

Re: Seatbelts
Why did you not include both photos?
Seems to me there is no problem. Last edited by speedygonzales; 06-09-2019 at 12:26 PM. |

Re: Seatbelts
I am wondering if that is there so that the outer belt and center belt cant plug into the wrong slot? I remember a few years that they had belts that wouldn't plug into the wronf slot.

Got a Dremel tool?
If you need some sort of piece of mind then......
Lay one on top of the other so the slots are lined up. See if the slots are the same width and length. If they are, with the exception of the metal piece in the middle, use a Dremel tool and cut the center piece out. |

Re: Seatbelts
I agree on the lap belt for the center. I am concerned with the latching mechanism on the drivers seat belt. With it being the full rectangle cut out will the latching mechanism be loose or anything because the center metal does not exist ?
