Ok, so who has used one of these before?

Inflatable paint booths that is , with the paint quotes iam getting for a single color paint job between 10-20 grand. I just my invest in one of these. I already have a 80gal quincy compressor and the iwata spray guns....I figured at $1500 its worth a try... Yes i know many will say get a car port tent is way cheaper... but by the time you set it up , fans, visqueen, etc... its a few hours in its self. looks like these inflatables will let me take my time with out having to take 2 days to set up a tent , hurry up and spray before the weekend is over... but the question is who has used one before , what did they think of it and what kind of quality can i expect if I did all the body work and prep for a show quality workmanship.

I've been pondering one of those myself....I wish a rental place had one...id rent it in a heartbeat....
I think nlped has one....I've watched a few videos of them in action...the biggest problems I've seen people having is wind...and breakers...one guy had the fans trip his breakers and the tent collapsed on him and his car

yeah his breakers tripped but he was running 2 of those fans and a turbine sprayer off one breaker. I would fun the fans on 2 different breakers ( outlets from the house) to prevent that from happenikng

Nothing beats a good paint booth but at home I clean the garage out hose it down a couple of box fans I very seldom do metallics so I panel paint and the box fans do a pretty good job I was watching a program one time and the guy was asked what kind of a paint booth he had and how nice the paint came out he said it was a 360 crossflow what in the world is a 360 cross flow the guy asked come out back and I’ll show you it was a two car carport said it worked great that he would hose the area down and paint early in the morning when it was calm

I do all my painting in a 20'x30' RV carport that's basically enclosed on 3 sides. Blow it out, wet it down, turn the fans on, and paint away. Works pretty well, I would like a more controlled area when I start to paint my body but I think i'll just end up doing it the way it is now. The price tag on the inflatable tents is too much for me to swallow for something that may only get used a handful of times.

I have not used anything like that but I also don't feel like it's completely necessary. Here is a pic of my son's toy. It makes the local shows and looks as good as most. I painted it in my buddies old dirty shop, with my trusty $40 Home Depot paint gun.I hung up plastic, cut a few strategically placed holes, and turned on his exhaust fan for a bit of crossflow and updraft. Some words of advice from my own experiences. Don't wet the floor too much if the humidity or heat are high....the clearcoat doesn't like it. I use the method of turning on the exhaust fan and using the leaf blower to stir up and expel all the dust. Make sure you have lots of light, if you don't it's hard to see the overlaps in the clear. Hang a small chain from the frame to the floor, it's an old trick to keep static electricity at bay. Most importantly stick with one paint brand from primer to clear and follow their instructions. The "show" quality paint is mostly in the cut-n-buff AFTER the paint job. I'd have to guess that since you have a name brand gun you can paint as good or better than me.

Inflatable booth looks interesting, would be worth it if you could resell it for $1200. After your done. Nice clean work space, controlled environment, reduce the risk of bugs getting into the paint.

Pound a ground rod and run a 2g cable to the truck and it will repel dust. I’ve grounded poly bumper covers in the dead of winter and after sitting overnight they are also negatively charged.

I know most use their garage , which i can to... but then i have to deal with all the over spray all over everything... yes i know i can cover things up... but it still get all over everything some how. this thing just plug it in and watch i blow itself up. there"s reviews of them on youtube and most seem to be happy with them, what more can you ask for, yes i know a paint booth is far better, but we all here cant justify the money or have the room for one.

I think that would make a good paint booth you would have to make sure you were going to have continuous power and if it is set up outside you would have to take it down when you are through Painting I don’t think it would take much of a breeze to blow it away it would turn into a bounce house it would need to be well anchored
