New vintage usa highbeam/engine light prblem
Just in stalled a NVU performance black gauge kit. two problems 1) hight beam light stays on when lights are turned on, it does get btighter when the high beams are turned on. 2) check engine light stays on all the time. i have checked for codes and all are cleared. this is a 5.3 with psi harness and computer. i also installed a new AAW harness for the truck. the brown engine light wire from the pcm goes to the the black wire on the light and the red wire goes to power. the high beam light black wire goes to ground and the red wire is hooked to the hi beam wire in the AAW harness. i called NVU and have no fix for the high beam light problem and said I need to use a relay on the check engine light . Any thought on this???

I'm not 100% sure but the wire coming from the PCM should be a ground wire.
The high beam wire on the dimmer should go as you stated. I would check your dash and make sure it's grounded good. On factory dashes anytime the turn signals are high beam lights stay on it's a dash ground problem.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Your gonna have to figure out the ECU wiring for the check engine light to trigger it and tie into it, not straight to a hot wire.
