'63 bench seat in a '53

So Iíve decided to put a í63 bench seat in my í53. Anyone done that? I just want a nice basic bench seat - no buckets, no power lumbar stuff. Iíll have it rebuilt and recovered.

I have two original í53 seats, but donít like the look of the pipe around the seat. And a í63 tilts forward for access to behind the seat. My gas tank is under the bed, so that would be good.

Can anyone give me the width of a í63 seat please? Or the width of the cab inside between doors.

You'll probably have more luck getting that measurement if you ask that question here in the 60-66 forum. Good luck!

popstand, there is a thread or two on the H.A.M.B. that a guy has modified an AD truck seat to fold forward. If you are interested, I will try to find it for your. Clay

Seat width isn't in the GM herritage center info but snooping around shows that they use the same 88/98 seats that a lot of us use.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
