how much stain and teak oil should i buy for my new oak wood bed?

on my shortbed stepside i've bought oak wood floor from LMC. i've decided to use stain and Teak oil instead of clear. How much stain and teak oil should i need to do all sides of the wood????? I dont wanna buy too much and waste money. (the wood has been test fitted, trimmed, drilled, and removed and is on sawhorses, ready to go)

You can stain it to the darkness/color you want. Just stain and wipe per the directions. As far as teak oil goes, I use no less than 3 coats, applied per the manufacturer's directions. Nice thing about teak oil is the way it brings the grain out, and if it gets messed up, you can simply put more on.

A quart of either will cover about 150 square feet, according to the cans I bought for my wood working. Teak oil may cover less, depending on how many coats it takes.
