Challenges of putting a big block in 57 GMC 150?

Want to put a big block (600hp) into a 57 GMC (150 flat bed with duallys). Want a Tremec 5 speed and a newer/stronger rear end. Would like to put power steering and brakes in, but not sure if there is room for them? Has anyone done this and what are the challenges/issues (other than money and time).

thanks

Grant
