Red face I Want To Apologize To Everyone

I Have Been Trying Desepretely To Sell Alot Of Stuff To Cover The
Cost Of Getting My Blazer Home From California, I Have Made Alot
Of Posts, Reply's, Bumps, Ttt, Etc... To Try And Get My Stuff Sold,
I Was Not Aware About Not Linking Posts From Board To Board To
Further My Sales Or Spread Other Information, I Will Not Do This
Anymore And I Want To Apologize To Everyone Who Is Probably, In
More Ways Than One, Getting Sick Of Seeing My Posts Over & Over.
In The Future I Will Try To Keep My Post Information Relevent To
The Board Title That It Best Represents, Again I Am Really Sorry.

OH YEA, AND BY THE WAY, THIS CO. I HIRED WAS RECCOMENDED BY THE

Red face Everyone makes mistakes, you are not alone!

Hey, everyone makes a few errors. The ones that think they have not need to open there eye's! I jumped on a few threads not knowing ( BAD ) and A respected Member, you know who you are, gave me a bad rep. point with out even letting me know jumping on a thread was bad. If he was a real stand -up truck guy,he could have told me it was wrong. But NO he stabs
me in the back with this kind of feed back that you have 0 recourse to reply.
When I asked him to fix after he said he did not do,(his user name) he replied,
I will not spend anymore of my time on this matter! This is almost libel to someone who cares about Rep. The rules had nothing to say about threads
and members will be nice most of the time and let the new people know how to act. Good Luck

Unhappy

That really sucks about your Blazer. The movers around the country have zero scruples but they have you by the gonads and they know it. I've had my share of problems with movers and truckers in general. There was a time when you could respect OTR truckers and could anticipate help from them if needed--no more. Now they'll run you off the road and smile while they do it > If there are any truckers on here and they want to flame me--get it on--but you know I speak the truth. Trucking firms will now hire ANYONE and wait until they kill someone to fire them. Our NHTSA at work.!

Thanks everyone for support!

Thanks to everyone who has been in the same sinking boat feeling, and when your new makes you feel real welcome. I would personally not cut someone down without at least discussing the issue first. Then if they repeated the offensive conduct leave the bad rep. point, not a personal attack without the persons knowledge to discover later on. I know that there are some REAL GOOD TRUCK LOVERS HERE! THANKS TO ALL !

Sounds about as bad as my troubles trying to get land bought, mobile home moved, and trying to get a garage built, nothing but delays, run arounds, excuses, etc..

Is there any way you can get a trailer and tow the Blazer back yourself? It may not be cheaper but you know it will be done right and you will be able to get the extra parts. You can always have the rest shipped by freight. Rent a cheap car or get a bus ticket out to California and rent a Ryder and trailer to come back in is also a good idea.

The Ryder truck and trailer idea isnt a bad idea. I know that the shipping from CAlifornia will be in the area of $1000.. You can usually get a one way rental from Budget/Ryder or U-Haul for under $500 and the rest should take care of the gas or diesel. Then you get to also see the countryside. Then you take the $60 Grayhound bus ride to Calif to pick up your stuff and you are on your way.. That would be my choice. As for the crap about not letting you put any parts inside on an open carrier, that is crap. Ive shipped 3 trucks to date and every time, Ive had stuff inside the cab and in the beds. They basically dont want anything loose that could fly out on the highway or hit another car on their trailer. Its also a theft issue. They dont want to get the blame if the 2 dozen tow hooks you had in a box on the floor of the passenger side turn up missing at $200 a set.. Got the idea. I would say that if you have the Blazer loaded and its all secure, along with an inventory and DONT FORGET to take pictures of the Blazer loaded on the truck (damage free) and my guess is the driver won't give a crap. If so. Take the blazer off the transport and tell the driver to take a hike, unless you have already paid in advance. If you have nothing to loose and he thinks you will really take your Blazer and go home, I think he will play ball.. Good luck and sorry for the long post

P.S.
Make sure if you find a shipper, that they dont use transfer stations, and that the truck stays on the trailer untill it is delivered. Many shippers will be going part of the way and drop them off in transfer stations untill someone going your way will finish the delivery. God help you get a low price to ship this way as another carrier may not complete the transfer due to a shortage of funds left to complete the job.Vehicles can sit in these stations for along time.Always get a copy of their insurance policy.

ONE WAY U-HAUL IS $3500.00 , RYDER IS A LIL CHEAPER THAN THAT, NOT MUCH
COULD RENT / BORROW A TRAILER, BUT NOTHING TO PULL IT WITH, 99 TRAILBLAZER
SUCKS ASS ON TOWING, I'M GOING TO CALL A PREMIUM CARRIER IF THIS ONE DOES
NOT WORK OUT, IT SEEMS LIKE I JUST KEEP SPENDING MORE AND MORE AND MORE.

Renting one way is always way more expensive than rent and return. Rent a 3/4 ton truck locally. Drive to California and buy or rent a trailer. Load it all up and head home. Just don't tell the rental place your drivin' the truck so far. All they need to know is you went to the home depot several hundred times, hehe. You could probably rent the truck for 500 for a week and buy a trailer out there for 800-1200.00 new or rent a uhaul trailer for 400-600.00. That way your just towing one way. If you do it yourself you know it'll get done right. Good Luck!
