Better way to seal a Blazer door glass to the top?

So I recently just got my first K5 after having 6 other 67-72 pickups. The top has brand new gaskets in it and I noticed how badly it seals. I know I can't run truck doors with the hard top on it. But has anyone ever tried to take the upper window channel hoop from a truck door and attach it to a hard top, that way the window actually seals well against the top? And of course a picture of it to start the thread.

It could work; you'd just have to be sure to roll down the window before you open or close the door.

The double wall top window seals generally suck. But you can shift their locations slightly to help with the sealing. Single wall tops have much better seals that are held in a metal track. I had to adjust my tracks on my single wall top a bit to make the windows seal properly.

This is a page from an old magazine comparing the K5 to the IH Scout....
Look at the section "Five Worst Features"
Leaking is an inherent trait.....gotta love it
