Sold the 82 and picked up this 92 454SS. Got a few electrical bugs to fix, but much better project than what I had. Love that big block torque!

Shifter is an rsr from ebay. It's made to fit 88-98 but had to do minor trimming to make it work.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks

Got mine cleaned up to go to the Goodguys show yesterday...first time I've taken pics since it came back from the body shop. New driver's door, new driver's side cab corner (now rust free). I put on new lights -- clear headlights, LED parking lights and tails, with resistors to keep them from fast-flashing (props to ChevLoRay for pointing me in the right direction). New side mirrors -- my old ones had paint flaking off, new fender trim up front to replace my old dinged up stuff...anyway, it's gotten a nice facelift and I went a little nuts with the camera. Enjoy.

Before...a shot of my wife's "custom bodywork..."

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks

Then, after the Goodguys show, my wife and I had dinner downtown (Demos' on 3rd, if you were wondering) and, since I had to park in the garage anyway, I thought I might as well go to the top level and take advantage of the scenery. Viva Nashvegas.

I like my LEDs -- they aren't the brightest, but they were pretty cheap and give the truck a little bit different look.

91 k1500 . good ol 1am rust-o-leum gloss white paint job on bed (was maroon) sitting on 32x11.5x15. front diff completley removed and axles cut down into stubs to make it a 2wd that looks 4wd (diff was junk and i never use 4wd) finally got my full 3" flowmaster exhaust done yesterday...

Yeah, I've wondered if that was possible...I need to find some old molding somewhere.

The ribs on the trim are not exactly the same, but since the color is the exact same its really hard to notice from more than a few feet. Qkenuf4u: what happened to your tail lights?
