Engine builder in Waco?

I'm looking for a reputable engine builder in the Waco Texas area. I've got two engines to go through and don't have time to do it myself. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Engine builder in Waco?

I grew up in Mexia (been out to Donie many, many times - small world!) - the only builder I've ever heard anything good about was Ledford. Buddy of mine has a shop (D&D Automotive, Mexia, TX) has about 4-5 low 10/high 9 second cars between him and his brother and for the longest time Ledford did the machine work on all their big blocks. I can check with him if you'd like and see if there is anyone else around there worth mentioning.

Re: Engine builder in Waco?

There’s someone else from Waco on here?!

As for engine builders. I’ve used Ledfords for a few motors and have always been happy with the work they’ve done. Several of the dirt track guys use them as well.

Re: Engine builder in Waco?

Thanks for the replies. I"ll stop by and visit with them next time I'm in town. It's good to hear they have a good reputation.

I'm actually 60 miles east of Waco, but that's the big city for me when I need something.

Re: Engine builder in Waco?

They are really good to deal with, they have built several engines over the years.
