6 lug spider caps have been out for a couple of years now. These fit pretty much any steel and transit wheels. Just do a google search and they pop right up. Would like to see more trucks with these on.

Cheers!

I saw that part of these are made of plastic. Is that the way that the originals were made?

Re: 6 luggers

I wonder if you can use these with a different type of lug and not use the plastic lug covers.

they are just a little bit bigger then the bore of the wheel, but the flange is pulled tight between the wheel and the brake drum as the lugs are tightened down

The caps are METAL. The lug covers are plastic and hold on very tight. Just like the Semi Trucks use.

For those that do not wish to use the lug covers, use the Bullet lug nuts and they'll work and look just fine.

The lug nut caps require a fat lug nut.

Yes, plain ol' open end acorn lug nuts work best.

22" GM Transports

60 with 2-1/2" front spindles (torsions adjusted) and 4" drop springs in rear.

But they are rather large. the stock 7/16" lugs are too small.

those are chrome ... they are pretty thin, but I put a few coats of wax on before throwing them in, and they seem to be holding up fairly well

Re: 6 luggers

I’m running stockers up front. Out back running wheel vintiques series 12 15x8 smoothies with 4” backspace. I modified some VW hubcap clips and drilled/tapped the wheel to fit these to run a hubcap.
