With aftermarket levers, you are stuck having to use the relays. Unless you use a dash mounted switch. But TS mounted levers are all backwards unless you use a factory one.

I have a mid 80's gm cruise lever that had the wipers with it, not clear if I need the relays or not. It's 4 wires red yelow blue green, Green is 12 volt..from the diagram I have...is the green wire just connected to 12v or is it also need to be run thru the relays? I am using PSI harness, blue, gray, black, and a yellow to the brake switch 12v when brake applied...Thanks in advance.

Since it's a GM switch, you won't need any relays.

Thanks Eric, No luck yet. I am missing something...From a post you made 4 yrs ago..........You'll need a 4 prong brake light switch, the kind used for cruise control in the 70's and 80's. They have 2 sets of contacts, one normally open and one normally closed. The TAC ties into the cold side of the brake light wiring and the PCM side will be the other set that needs ignition power and will send power to the PCM when the brakes are not applied.

I have the ECM yellow wire going to the cold side of the brake light switch, is this backwards ...and it's supposed to be to orange brake switch wire12v.....and the green power wire from cruise switch goes to the cold side of the brake light switch....Sorry I'm electronicly challenged.

Need some more info. Do you have the pigtail that the cruise switch plugs into? Because the colors are different on it than what's actually in the lever it's self. Also, is this a DBW set up?

No pigtail, it is a DBW 2001 5.3...I wondered about the diagram I have no date on it. I did ground the lever but no go.

Do you have a cruise control brake switch? Does your PSI harness have 2 separate brake switch wires?

I just purchased the Dakota Digital module and stalk, not the obd connection version. Hoping it is an easy solution with the PSI harness, 2013 LSA engine, trans, ecm and substituting a Corvette pedal.

Ok, I have to assume PSI is using a yellow wire for the brake input for the TAC module, so that sounds like it's hooked up correct. The TCC wire placement on the brake switch doesn't matter which wire is on which pin as long as one has power when the ignition is on and the other is hooked to the PCM. So that just leaves the 3 wires from the engine harness that are for the cruise, and the power to the switch. Power to the switch would be hooked to the green wire, set would be hooked to the red wire, resume would go to yellow and on/off would go to the blue wire. This is all 100% depending on how accurate that diagram is though, as I have never hooked any wires directly to the switch, and the pigtail wires being different colors. How are you connecting the wires? They are awfully small to be putting any kind of butt connector on, and also if it's hard wired, it will be impossible to remove the column without having to cut wires. But if that's the way you have it wired up, then check the connections of the wires to make sure they are all good connections.

Thanks, I have it wired as you said, But will double check again..Wires are soldered, shrinked and run outside the column. Next is swap out the switch, and try again.

You need to check and make sure you have power at the correct time at the TAC module plug. Have you tried slightly adjusting the brake light switch in a bit?
