2' lift on a 69 4X4

What is the best way to get a 2' lift on a 1969 4X4. Lock kits or springs? thanks Rick

2’ lift?!? Gonna need a whole lotta spring!!!! I’m assuming you meant 2”, which can be done with springs, or a longer shackle with a zero rate. Or even a long add-a-leaf to the pack.

I’m doing a 3” on my blazer. I got everything from ORD with a shackle flip and new springs.

If you meant 2", I installed 2.5" Skyjacker Softride springs on my K20 several years ago (front only). No complaints.

If you actually meant 2'..... I got nothin.

Re: 2' lift on a 69 4X4

I'd do all new softer riding springs like Softrides or EZ-Rides. Reverse shackles will give twice the lift you want. I did 4" springs on front and on the rear I did Add-A-Leaf & 2" block. It doesn't even look like it has the 2" blocks, so Add-A-Leaf doesn't appear to have lifted it any. Maybe my original springs are just that bad. I'm wishing I bought new springs

Re: 2' lift on a 69 4X4

My truck is a 69 GMC half ton. I used the 2” ez rides on mine. For a lifted, solid axle truck, it rides pretty well. I drive it daily and have gotten quite used to it. It has 33 inch tires on it. Here is a pic:
