1970 K20 Axle Swap

Hi guys,

I have a 1970 K20 longbed with the eaton axle and leaf springs. I am wanting to convert to either a corporate 14 or a Dana 70. My question is, are there any specific years i should be looking for? Is there a year/model that is a direct bolt in?

Thanks!

Re: 1970 K20 Axle Swap

Use a 14 Bolt from a 73+ 1 ton. If you use a 3/4 ton, you'll have to move the spring perches.

Just FYI, the Eaton is a better rear end.

I used a 14BFF from a 75 K20 and it worked out fine, had to cut and replace my perches due to pinion angle but it was easy.
