With all of my "research", most of the Invader 350 decals were on GMC's.

At least one picture I've saved, showed what was said to be an original decal on a Chevy.

Anecdotal observation....seems like the Invader decals seem to hold up better over time...or maybe there were more of them.

It appears the 250 came with decals as well. Here is a photo of a '71 6 cyl Chevy van when new with the '70-'71 specific font.

I created artwork for this decal from one of the photos in this thread and will be having a few made up. Not sure of the cost as I'm waiting for an estimate. I'd like to know it this style is correct for '72 or is it just for '70-'71? I'd appreciate any info or photos of examples. Thanks.

Very interesting thread. Thanks to those who contributed, it is a worth while effort and helps many of us trying to get facts on the decals.

If anyone has a true survivor, please post pictures of your decals to improve on what is shown here.

Got to get up close and personal with a near perfect survivor and revisited the decal I reproduced for myself and board members. The decal I have now is near a dead nuts match to the original.

I was just thinkin the same thing Pete. Nothin like a correct decal as the cherry on top of an engine restoration. 71s got all the cool stuff…. engine decals, disk brake stickers…. Guess I’ll have to live with a sea of orange on my valve covers and a bland tailgate. But I’m not “too” worried, it’s not the original engine anyway

Thanks again for producing these fine decals. This is the type of stuff that was always obscure for truck restorations, many were using car specific decals till these emerged. Factory color under hood shots were extremely rare back in the day, almost non existant, making survivor photos the best we have to get it right on our own.

We've got a few examples of the 307 in this thread. Even one of a 6 cyl 250!

Going back through this thread I see that now. Maybe I knew it years ago but forgot. My original plan was to pull the (non original) 307 and put a 350 in my truck at some point. I knew of and purchased one of your second edition (I think) 350 stickers (the one before the one you offer now). Would be cool to have a 307 version out there for purchase but I'd imagine not many people freshen up their 307 prior to swapping it out.
