damn we need a sticky at the top of the page because alot of ppl are asking this over and over and over again, go to www.google.com and searh for speedometer calibration, etc related words, you wil find all kinfs info on net how to fix
keep in mind that each MPH is how many seconds per mile you travel, if you travel at 60mph and use freeway mile markers as timing, the goal is to change size of driven speedo gear in the tranny tial until you get form one marker to the next at 60mph in exactly 60 seconds, too soon and it means you need to speed up the cable with smaller driven gear and too late means opposite ------------------ Randy- Lincoln, IL randy@ccaonline.com 2177353230 *many GM parts bought, traded, or sold -am parting out: '81 Cutlass Supreme Brougham current fleet: -71 C-10 350/CH465/3.07- basketcase -84 Z28 5.0L/700R4/3.73 daily driver -84 Firebird/SE 2.8L/T-5/3.73/engine bad -82 purple Trans Am, project #2 *Paint is overrated* © RSS Enterprises 2000 |

Eric, many transmission shops carry the necessary gears to swap out for speedo correction. Good luck--Huck
