Where are the steppers with white tops? Do they exist?

I have always wanted to paint the top of my truck white, but it is very permanent. So, I have been searching this forum and the net, and can't seem to find them. Do they exist? I see a lot that are white, but are almost never step sides! If you have one, lets see it, please!

Re: Where are the steppers with white tops? Do they exist?

They're out there and look good. I'm debating on painting my roof white too but feel it may be too much with white bumpers and grill. I've considered Plasti Dip in white for the roof to see what I think. If I don't like it, then it'll come right off

In no way saying this is perfect .. just to give you an idea here's a quick Photoshop. If I have more time I can clean it up a bit.

Here's a pic that is similar to yours. I have quite a few pics saved of red steppers but this one resembled your truck the most.

Wow, they do exist! thank you to all of you for the posts. The photoshop pic is awesome, thank you. It definitely changes the look drastically. I was just doing some reading about the plasti-dip, maybe some more reading is in order!

I wouldn't mind seeing more of the pics you if you don't mind. I love looking at what every one else has done. These trucks will never get old to look at.

Re: Where are the steppers with white tops? Do they exist?

No pix, but the Corps of Engineers Rangers here at the Lakes had probably a dozen or more '68 Chev short steps that all were black with white tops, back when they were just everyday work trucks. Only one I know of that's left around here now was re-painted all-black several years ago.

Re: Where are the steppers with white tops? Do they exist?

I covered my top with white duck tape to get a good idea how is would look.
With duck tape:

Then I painted it. Love the way it looks.

I notice some guys paint the A piller( I guess thats what its called) and the doors window surrounds same as the roof, I think it looks very nice when they're not in your instance. THAT LOOKS SHARP!

I was considering the same look. It's duck tape, but you get the idea...
