4l80e shifter questions.

Swapping a 4L80 in my 73 trying to use the stock column shifter.
Extended the upper link 3.5 inches.
Moved the frame mount back even with transmission pivot.
However looks like it could come down a bit to center the frame bracket on the transmission pivot.

Anyone have a better solution?

Re: 4l80e shifter questions.

Bonus points for ugly- but all 7 positions firmly engage.
Moved it down back and changed angles on lower bell crank lengthened the column link.
