How to talk to your truck about Crack(s)

We love our Rough and Tough Chevy trucks, but they have a common Achilles heel and that is cracking the frame behind the steering box. These cracks start small and get larger with every turn of the wheel, leading to some devastating integrity problems.
The good thing is there is a solution for the problem. The Offroad Design Steering box brace and Frame repair kit!

The Frame repair kit is a weld in piece that fixes and reinforces the damaged area. With a little drilling, grinding, fitting, and welding you can say goodbye to frame cracks (we send detailed instructions so don’t worry).

Our steering box brace is a bolt in kit (only one hole to drill). The brace triangulates the frame behind the steering box and the front crossmember eliminating the frame flex that causes cracks.

Utilizing both the Steering box brace and Frame Plate together results in the ultimate prevention.
