OK,

I just purchased a 72 Cheyenne Super. Truck I have been wanting for about 10 years. Just never had the $$ to do so. Well, now I do.

What makes it a Cheyenne Super? Is it the interior only? Are there other stock things that add to this that the other 3 models in 72 do not have?

Cheyenne - Bench seat with full depth padded seat and back rest, with all vinyl or vinyl and nylon cloth seat covering. Door trim panels and headliner. Nylon carpet from front edge of seat to firewall. Color keyed mouldings. Ash tray mounted cigar lighter. Custom steering wheel. Cheyenne dashboard emblem. Door pin switch or manually operated courtesy lights. Extra insulation to block noise. Upper body mouldings. Tailgate trim panel with Cheyenne emblem.

Cheyenne Super - This added upper and lower body side mouldings, a chrome tailgate handle, chrome wheel well mouldings, and Cheyenne Super emblems on the dash and fenders.

Optional Equipment - Chrome front bumper, chrome rear bumper, rear step bumper, AM radio, AM/FM radio, clock, power steering, below eye line mirrors, cab drip mouldings, sliding rear window, cargo lamp, gauge package, A/C, tach, tilt wheel, exterior tool storage compartment, wheel covers, white wall tires, exterior wood grain trim, and a glide out under body spare tire carrier.

johnnyp, you have a couple inacuracies in your listing there.
Cigar lighter was not in the ash tray
only one steering wheel available
Upper side molding was an option, lower side trim, with wood grain was included.
Chrome bumper was included in package.
Bright pedal trim, knob trim, tail light trim, window trim, and wing vent trim included.
Bright side marker lights included.
Cargo light included.
There are quite a few more I can not think of at the moment.
Also many many more options, Including,
cruise control,
posi track,
automatic trannies,
camper harnesses,
dual batteries,
large alt.
tach.
wide rims...ect.
Step bumper was never installed by Chevrolet..only dealer.

Were different size bench seats available, and if so does that mean I need to settle for the base cover?

I was sort of set on the the houndstooth - it's the Alabama fan in me.

Please, please, please ingore my previous reply to this post. Man, am I embarrased. Longhornmail is absolutely right about errors in my previous post. I had a serious brain fart when I posted. I grabbed the information from some files I keep and I didn't notice that the info was for the 73-87 models. To make it worse, I can't find my info for the 67-72 models. I deserve what ever tongue lashing you guys want to give.
