Looks good man. I got spark plugs to go in the panel, but haven't touched it since you were here. Maybe this will light a fire under my butt.

Thanks Red,I have been meaning to post some new pics and give yall an update. Not much has changed. The Burb has been very good to me and not giving me any problems.I did install the Chevrolet script letters for the tail gate(thanks 6t727t2).I will get some new pics up soon.I have just moved during the Christmas/new years fiasco and have not had much time to do anything.I realy wanted to get a 4/6 drop kit for the Burb for christmas but it wasn't in my budget. The kids made out like bandits for christmas thoughHere are a couple pics of me moving a table that my Dad built.F-ing heavy!

Ya, its heavy GeoffI have not been able to monitor the mileage as the 4L80E does not have a provision for a mechanical speedo cable.I'll be getting some type of sat nav soon so I can keep track of mileage and all that. How is your little one doing? She looks cute as a button, congrats.Be good man

Thank you very much man.Nice to know ppl are still checking out the build thread.I get compliments everywhere I go in the Burb.My 2 yr old son will tell you its his truck and not mine thoughHard work does in fact pay off.Put in the time and you'll be rewarded.I would not have been able to get there nearly as quick without the help of fellow board members pointing me in the right direction when I needed it.I owe a lot to the ppl on this site. Thanks to all

Re: Project Patina Azul

Flint, a company in Arkansas makes an adapter that will connect to your electronic transmission and convert the signal through a box and drive a cable that can be hooked up to your original speedometer. It s called a Cable X. The company's website is www.abbott-tach.com
I have used their products for years and it is really good. I installed 285-75r16 tires on my 01 GMC truck from the original 245-75R16s and installed their ERA (electronic ratio adapter) to get my speedo to read right on the money. I have also used their Cable X on a customers vehicle after installing a 4l60E trans.

Flint, sold the 62 and the 67, but still got the 68 panel. Come by or holler at me some time. The panel just got bumped to no 1 in the playlist.

Good news,I just picked up some 2 1/2 inch drop spindles for the Burb!!Now to get some drop springs for the rear and some 1 1/2 drop springs for the front. Then I'll be sittin pretty.....low that is Here is a cool photo a friend of mine played with.He made several copies of the pic and changed the exposure and color on the diff pics then layered them. Then he isolated properties from the pics to make it look that way.I like it

I want to use 1 1/2 drop springs in the front along with the spindles and then see what 4'' drop rear springs will do for me.I would like for it to be parallel to the ground for a clean looking stance.I want it to come out looking like these Burbs or just a tiny bit lower.
