Body Lift?

OK...I'm in process of upgrading my suspension (EZ ride here I come)...I thought I had a simple 6 inch lift but upon closer inspection with a tape measure my rear blocks (which are going to be replaced with proper lifted springs) are 4 inches, not 6.

So I decided to look at the body mounts. That looks like a 2 inch body lift to me. Do others agree?

Thanks!

Re: Body Lift?

not a body lift i have ever seen . just poly bushing kit installed .

as to the rear blocks shorter thats cause a lift kit lifts and levels all in 1 . lift and level the front end to the back and the rear tends to be 1-2" shorter lift height over the front end .

or someone mix-n-matched stuff before you got it ?

i have dialed in lifts to were the customer wants them to look a specific way . or heavy duty springs might not need as much lift block in the rear .

Re: Body Lift?

it looks like someone replaced the rubber body mounts with polyurethane mounts. notice the grooves in the mounts, poly has 'em, rubber ones don't.
i replaced the bushings on my '85 crew with poly mounts a few yrs ago, and they are approx 2" high.
i have also found that all the square 4by's i have owned, that i never needed to lift the rear as high as the front, as the rear always sits a bit higher. i would check your front end, it may be a 6" lift.
i would consider swapping the 4" blocks for some shackle flips or shorter blocks, 3" is a tall as a block as you should run.
i have 8" fr springs with a 3" block and 4" flips in the rear, and it sits level
