If I remember correctly, one bought the other. I have both for my 98 and a Alldata subscription.

They are the same company IIRC.

Both have for years gave you just enough info to get in trouble, if you can find the shop manual, it would be better.

Google can be your friend on the quest for repair info.

I purchase factory shop manuals to get what I need. They are worth it to me.

Re: Chilton vs Haynes

How hard is it to find the newer shop manuals, that would mean for around here we'd need the 2000, 2006 and 2010 2500HD.

I have the Shop manual for the 1982

I bought my factory shop manual for my 2011 GMC from www.Helminc.com for a little less than what they are priced at right now. They are listed at $275.00 to your door.

I have the manuals for all of the cars that I have purchased in the last 15 years.

The price is worth it to me.
