You should tell your guy how many people are wanting this now. Maybe he will speed up the process.

Re: Softop installation no Holes

I am ready too, and as someone said before. This is the reason I didn't get a soft top. Now I want one. I never wanted to drill the Windshield Frame.
Just let me know when have them ready to sell!

Re: Softop installation no Holes

Good new coming in next week or two. The shop has an opening price looks like it may go up a bit but still reasonable for the effort they go through for one a day parts. Anyway will post again when we get price settled and a date to start shipping. Happy Blazin in the mean time!

Not sure if its a line up per say because we haven't narrowed down who has the cash to commit when they become available.I am hoping to have about thirty Headers from this run. It's a bit of a guessing game but it's all I have to work with. It looks like around thirty pieces might complete this so called line up for this year. I hope I can get everyone their part but I can possibly run another batch next year to although we don't know the longevity of mold and many other underlying circumstances going forward regards Rob

Re: Softop installation no Holes

Gibber I have a blank part if it helps you to install your install your Softop now. Then you just need to transfer the holes from one part to the next . Just an idea and I'm try to decide if all orig softop snap locations are the same as the new Softopper snap locations. Since your near it might serve as to keep your project moving forward

Re: Softop installation no Holes

Hey Rob,

I'm not clear on what you are purposing, but I'm up for what ever...especially if it helps. I was planning to make the 3 1/2 hour trip each way to pick up the finished product, but i'm not sure I would want to do that trip twice. Maybe we ship it one way and then I bring it back with me when I pick up the finished product.

I bought my Softopper the winter before last, so obviously I am in no hurry. I guess that still makes it a new one?

Clarify what you are purposing and we'll sort it out.

Thanks,

Gibber

Not really he knows about the list. It simply doesn't pay him to concentrate on these parts vs his bread and butter work. Then add a case of diabetics and he's already lost one leg with no insurance. Maybe you start to get the picture. Then my mold required periodic maintanance and modifications to keep it evolved for the other products coming to enhance the Header hopefully. It's all a little complicated here and slow but there's more happening behind the scenes that will compliment out trucks in the future again hopefully.

Everyone's got their problems. I wasn't nagging. I don't even need one yet. I was just not sure he knew the amount of buzz this product will make once they are available.

Thanks

Re: Softop installation no Holes

I'm done waiting on them. I'm going to make my own this weekend. Thanks for the effort, but continued delay has cost you a lot of potential buyers, IMO.

I know how you feel, I was going to make one too, because I hated to have to drill the windshield header, then I saw this thread so I stopped.

I was thinking of using 1"x 3/16" steel bar and bending and welding to fit the hardtop mounts. Then Tap for the snaps, have it powder coated, some sort of seal to protect the header and done.

Let us all know how yours goes.

It will be months before I start mine, I am knee deep in other projects but was going to buy one if it would save me the time. Oh well!

Re: Softop installation no Holes

I'm probably going the same route with steel and cut/bend/welding it up to fit the header then have it powder coated.
