Re: S Jimmy Street Coupe

That's the 2 wheel drive version that GM was pushing to the soccer moms and anyone else they could get to buy it. Part of the huge push to get people to use trucks the way they would use a car. The Ford Bronco II started the trend, IIRC. Ford got into a lot of trouble with the first version because it was very prone to rollovers. That used to be acceptable when this type of vehicle was only driven by offroaders, etc., who knew the limitations and generally did not drive them like a bat outta hell on the freeway.

I saw them many years ago, and I would like to get one of those hood scoops for my 1985 S15.

Re: S Jimmy Street Coupe

There was one at one of the carlise meets a yr or 2 ago for sale. It was slightly ratty looking but they still wanted a good buck for it.
At first I thought it just had a body kit on it and someone was nuts but after reading a few articles they had presented I had a better understanding.

It's no cyclone or typhoon but still a cool ride.
