Re: How Many '68 swb with 396 BBC Made?

I will take a look at the spid, I know for sure its an auto truck, I remember se3ing that on the spid, sounds like the spid will tell me all, im thinking its highly optioned, aldo has power steering and brakes. But how know what was been added over the years.im starting to regret lowering it and putting in the buddy buckets!

I would recognize a 12 bolt cover, easily.

I've never seen a big block pickup with a manual transmission, I obviously have not seen them all... Had not thought about that deal.

Its hard to make out slot of it, I have the build sheet put away, I should look for it, I know it had automatic trans for sure and its a custom cab, the writing was in alot better shape 7yrs ago! As for the rear end dana60 or 12bolt? Looks like a dana60 to me.

Yeah, 6-lug Dana60s are very real. It's very rare to see one in a Chevy. Fire departments could order anything they wanted, as in COPO.

On the Suburban, if it is real factory it could be the only one. It would have to be a COPO deal. It wasn't just Suburbans, GM didn't put a big block in a 4wd till '77. That was the first year for K/30 and that was all a big block was available in, still.
