O4 nv3500 in a 91 c1500

Hello. I rebuilt a 91 c1500 stepside from a guy at work.
Has some running issues and chased the TBI to no avail.
I finally looked at it old school and hooked up a vac gauge.
The dreaded fluttering needle.
Checked compression and pas side bank dead.....
It's a 4.3 and looks like he hasn't changed oil since I sold it to him.
Stuck lifters .
I put a recent rebuild in and decided to find another trans.
It has the getrag 5 speed.
I blew 2 ND when I owned it the first time.

Anyway I found a nv3500 from a 04 Silverado.
The clutch bolts to my flywheel.
The dimensions are the same.
It has a internal slave.
And the hose didn't fit my master cylinder.
The hose is a braided setup and I will go to earls Monday to get a fitting.
I don't know if the vss will have the correct signal for the TBI.
Anyone know if this will work.
Worst case scenario, is I say screw it and carb her.
I just got back to work from a heart attack, and money is tight.
Guess I'm hoping this will work.
My girlfriend's driving the truck and I need to get it going.

Plus I need to do the heads of my Sportster so I can be going on it.

Any thoughts on this would be great.
