Re: Starting a Registry for BB trucks!

For some reason, I can't upload my photos to this thread. Not sure why. Also, I'm amazed at how clean some of the SPID's are on here! Mine isn't in near as good as shape as some of these!

Myself, Iwas having trouble with Google Images. I could upload the images, but some people couldn't see them or even open the link. There are probably many mediums that work, but I opened a Facebook account just for this. So far no problems.

Much of the info. applies to all 67-72 GM trucks, and to a lessor degree all 67-72 GM vehicles. My build thread, and more on the guide https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=730025

It only seems to be this particular thread. I've uploaded to this forum on multiple occasions. Can't quite figure it out.

Re: Starting a Registry for BB trucks!

Mine is a Medium Blue Metallic/White 68 C10 CST Suburban with the original 396 block stamped hi-perf, tonawanda sticker on the valve covers with power steering, power brakes and vacuum cruise control and all three seats and a roof rack. Minimal wear, 3rd is still in dealer plastic.

VIN: CE168Z139865
Block Shows the following codes and my decoding as best i can find.

T1279XL - (Truck 396 275hp 400 trans L-66 2bbl/10/20 trucks)
3916323
GM1 Conv2
High Perf K-8
3358289 GM1 SE 255

Supposedly has just a hair over 64k original miles from second owner out of Hobbs NM. I suspect its correct as it still even has the spin on metal canister oil filter and a bias ply spare. I've owned it since the early 90s and just kept it in climate controlled storage till I can get to it.

Hard to read the option tag but I can make out the following:

04L66AD
04Z53QL
04M49KP

Rear Axle Code is HA which is shown to be 3.73:1 12 Bolt for 1968.
Brake Pads are 2.75"

Will try to add some pictures later.
