Dorman control arm -$8.01 - Rock Auto

Hey guys,

I found this deal and thought I'd share with you fellas.

DORMAN 520181 Complete Arm w/ Ball Joint
Front Left Upper

http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/c...trol+arm,10401

The right is $48 bucks,

It looks like it ships from a different warehouse but for you US guys it would still work out well for you I imagine.

Shugalou,
Thanks for the info. I ordered up a set of both uppers and with shipping to my house is was $72. I was actually going to order a set from O'Reillys this weekend at about $100 each.
I appreciate you sharing.

Re: Dorman control arm -$8.01 - Rock Auto

Glad to share Cooper.

I saved 160 bucks compared to the parts I was going to buy local (same brands) and that's on top of paying $60 for shipping.

Thanks I ordered a pair of upper arms and ball joints and bushings for the lower. I also took advantage of the 5% off.

Re: Dorman control arm -$8.01 - Rock Auto

I actually got mine yesterday! They look great! I do have a question though, what is the bracket beside the ball-joint used for?

The early trucks don't have it, Is it for a brake hose?

Thanks, Rg

Re: Dorman control arm -$8.01 - Rock Auto

Nice you got them already...Mine won't be here for another 10 days.

If it's a rounded style bracket yes that's for the brake line.

Re: Dorman control arm -$8.01 - Rock Auto

I tend to stay away from anything DORMAN unless absolutely no one else makes the part, usually some tiny plastic bits, tell us how these turn out, also as much as I like RockAuto, I have had times where they list/advertise a AC Delco part and send some oversees replacement, think tie rod ends
