TBI accessory mounting brackets to LT-1 fit?

Good morning guys n gals.
I have a fairly low mileage 5.7 LT-1 from a Cadillac fleetwood that I was thinking of installing in my '95 chevy 2500, and wanted to know if there are any of you guys out there who have tried to bolt on the exterior TBI style accessory bracketry on the front of a LT-1 block. (LT-1 stuff sticks WAY out to the sides making it hard to just drop in).

Pics would be wonderful if you have them.
To clarify; these would be the alternator, pwr steering pump, tensioner etc..

(not really sure if the serpentine routing will even turn things the correct direction(s))

Thanks

Re: TBI accessory mounting brackets to LT-1 fit?

I think the glitch in that plan is the balancer. Is an SBC balancer going to work on the LT1 so that all the accessories align? I strongly doubt the LT1 balancer will work with the TBI engine accessories. I used the alloy car brackets in place of the steel bracket on my TBI engine and my serpentine belt didn't line up. I had to use car water pump and crank pulleys to use the car setup on my engine.

Re: TBI accessory mounting brackets to LT-1 fit?

Ya know, this LT-1 is growing to be a real pain in the engine compt..
Mr. Rich: Thanks soo much for the pics. They can explain lots more than a so called 'pro' can explain.
Do all your "pumps" rotate in the right direction?

I'm gonna be re-thinking this platform. It's not like I can just run down to a buddy's place and borrow or to a pull-it and grab a set of pullys to 'test' fit to make sure everything rotates the correct way and most of all FITS where I'm wanting.

And, "everyone" says that the LSx can go into anything.. (Yeah, IF you have an extra 4-5K$
BESIDES the cost of the COMPLETE motor/un-cut harness/Correct ECU)
That's not including Co's like March that charge $2500+^ for a accessory drive 'system' that looks like
crap after a year on a daily driver (in the elements).

Good thing I didn't scrap some ol Gen I's..

Sorry if the rant offends, Supposedly I still have Freedom of speech right?

Re: TBI accessory mounting brackets to LT-1 fit?

All the accessories work in the same configuration they were before; just spaced a bit differently than stock. I was able to use the CS144 alt. in place of the CS130 alt. when using these brackets. I like my setup better now. I think your rant is pretty mild actually...ha ha I still like the fact that my truck is easy to work on compared to my LS6 Firebird and my 3T.

Re: TBI accessory mounting brackets to LT-1 fit?

I'll have to get in the shop and see if I hve any extra TBI brackets and place them up to the LT-1 and see. it's the water pump that's got me thinking.
Thanks E
