Clutch fork clip
Just got done doing an auto to manual switch in my blazer. After getting the install done , started it up and a cling clang noise. Thought it might of been the flywheel hitting the dust cover. pulled cover off and the clutch fork clip that holds the fork on pivot ball was broken sitting in the bottom of cover. Now, I'm sure the ideal thing is to pull trans out off the engine to fix the problem. dreading doing this again. Anyone ever have success in getting the clip on when its still in the truck? if so, how'd you do it?

Re: Clutch fork clip
Leave it off. If the clutch is adjusted right it will not cause a problem. It is there just to keep the fork in position during assembly.

Re: Clutch fork clip
Bull ****! Replace the clip....I have NEVER seen a fork run in the right spot without the clip. Longhorn

Re: Clutch fork clip
On the other 1/2 of your ? I dont know for sure....but if you can get the fork low enough, to replace the clip, you may be able to work it all back into place. Clip the thowout 1st, then smack the lever back, to snap it in. Understand, that the clip needs to be convex, toward the trans....let us know how it goes. Longhorn
