Drug another one home

I have to quit dragging stuff home, but I couldn't pass it up...it was cheap. Dont know what I am gonna do it with it yet. Thought about an aftermarket front stub and I have 9' ford already narrowed for one of these. Not gonna start on it anytime soon so I have some time to decide what direction I want to go.

Man, do I have an idea for you! I saw this car at a cruise in here just last week. It's got a 2006 Duramax twin turbo diesel in it! Talk about cool! He told me that it weighs about the same as a big block. It would be a car with truck attitude!Do the narrowed rear and all, and you'd have something that would be off the chain! ...Joe

Re: Drug another one home

I almost wish now that I hadn't already done the drive train for my Z28 Camaro. I'd be really tempted to do the exact same thing with it after seeing that wagon! A Duramax in a Z28 sure would get some odd looks! That Nova wagon is one of the coolest half-breeds of anything that I have seen in a long time. I would drive that car to hell and back, and get great fuel mileage as a bonus! ....Joe

Almost looks like the front doors were extended and the rear doors shortened and welded shut...?

Re: Drug another one home

Actually it has had longer 2dr sedan doors installed, the 2dr sedan b-pillars added along with the front section of the 1/4 panels to fill in. I'm gonna remove what used to be the c-pillar and install a long one piece glass I think....

Re: Drug another one home

I was wondering what you were gonna do for glass.

I have fantasies about taking a nova wagon and dropping in a V6/6speed combo from a new Camaro. 300 hp/30 mpg hwy. Keep the interior old school, lower it some, with some suspension goodies, on rallies (widened in the back) with poverty caps. That would be a pretty cool family truckster.

I have visions of a 5.3 and a 4L60E trans, Maybe tinted side glass cut by the glass shop and I would really like to put super sport interior and console in it, I'm also have visions of 17X11 or 12's with 335/30/17 on the back......!!!!!!! wishful thinking probably !

I was wondering "what was up" too. I don't know much about these cars other than they are cool. The one piece glass idea is cool.

There's a little red wagon that looks just like the brownish one above that comes to local shows in my area, it has a white interior. I love it, it looks so friggin' cool.

Re: Drug another one home

4 to 2 dr conversion is cool. Slanted pillar looks better than the vertical one. What are you going to do for glass?

Re: Drug another one home

Probably just go to the glass shop and have it cut. I would like to do a 2 piece glass with the rear half fixed and the front half sliding....ala nomad or 64-65 chevelle 2dr wagon which I have one of. In my opinion when you slant the b-pillar on these cars it ruins the proportions.....1/4 glass becomes too long compared to the door glass even when going to a one piece door glass. I think the 2 piece 1/4 glass would help the proportions immensely....other option would be to shorten the overall length of the car.

Re: Drug another one home

The bad thing about the signature is that is only half of it. .......! The pace truck is the one thing that will never go anywhere, It was my dads and my mom gave it to me after he passed, plus my younger brother has dibs on it already.

It's a disease that I don't think there is a cure for....Know what I mean ?

Re: Drug another one home

Diggin' the 2nd gen wagon man!

If you haven't be sure to check out stevesnovasite.com, it's almost as good as the truck board, except with Nova's and II's.

Can't wait to see what becomes of this. It's just too damn cool! I have quite a bit of envy...Wagons are my guilty pleasure.
Just don't tell me II:

You are right about steves, I use the same screen name there, been a member there since I got the car. It's gonna be a while before I get to the wagon...too many projects ahead of it.
