Valve spring compressor - Lisle 44300

Anyone know how this tool goes together? Cannot figure this out.

I just don’t get how the bolt can go through the handle and link assembly. If it does the thing won’t pivot to compress the spring.

Well, I thought I had it. Just doesn’t seem like I can get any leverage with this thing.
Am I that slow? Can’t even figure out a stupid lever.

Got this other image from the web, but it shows it inverted. How the heck can you install valve stem seals with the head inverted? Geez.

Here's a picture of the thing assembled as described in the docco you posted. Once you have this, just tighten it to your head then put pressure on the handle to compress the spring?

they actually work rather well. key is to not drive the threaded rod out too far, just enough that the lever arm can cycle and compress the spring just enough to remove the keepers
